![]() In Judaism, pride is called the root of all evil. While some philosophers such as Aristotle (and George Bernard Shaw) consider pride (but not hubris) a profound virtue, some world religions consider pride's fraudulent form a sin, such as is expressed in Proverbs 11:2 of the Hebrew Bible. With a negative connotation pride refers to a foolishly and irrationally corrupt sense of one's personal value, status or accomplishments, used synonymously with hubris. Other possible objects of pride are one's ethnicity, and one's sex identity (for example LGBT pride). Pride may be considered the opposite of shame or of humility, sometimes as proper or as a virtue, and sometimes as corrupt or as a vice. Some social psychologists identify the nonverbal expression of pride as a means of sending a functional, automatically perceived signal of high social status. that pride is distinct from happiness and joy) through language-based interaction with others. Philosophers and social psychologists have noted that pride is a complex secondary emotion that requires the development of a sense of self and the mastery of relevant conceptual distinctions (e.g. Augustine defined it as "the love of one's own excellence", and Meher Baba called it "the specific feeling through which egoism manifests." Richard Taylor defined pride as "the justified love of oneself", as opposed to false pride or narcissism. Oxford defines it as "the quality of having an excessively high opinion of oneself or one's own importance." Well it wasn't a money maker for Sloth anyway, from what I know. And making a hard cut in style would definitely be detrimental to the game. Yeah, seeing how wildly any 3D posing/rendering program dans change with a couple of mods and settings, it would be a bit of a bitch to find which one Sloth used and how they set it up. "Fans" can't throw an tantrum as much as they want, if the person making the game decides something, they have no voice in the matter. That would very much be depending only on who would pick it up. It would be both easier and, in the unlikely but very much beautiful eventuality of Sloth returning someday, wouldn't clash with the original. I just hope whatever forced Sloth to drop everything hasn't destroyed them completely.Īs for picking up the game, honestly I think a better idea would be to make a spiritual successor. For what's in it, the game is still very much worth the download, and I'll keep doing what I can to suport it and make sure it's not totally forgotten (I mean, you can see my pfp), but I'm starting to think it's probably all we'll get. I used to be the biggest voice for optimism but even I have to admit the truth. Though, since they dropped of the face of the earth after getting hit by some personal issues, I doubt we'll ever know more on their plans.
